The One Where The Luna’s Get Married |06.12.20|
Hey there!
COVID has taken over the wedding industry, but boy is it good to be back despite it all. Michigan was completely locked down until about midish-June. This caused me to to have to reschedule a few weddings, but thank God I have been able to accommodate all of my couples, seriously total God thing. This was my first wedding back as well as my first wedding as Photography by Ali K in Michigan & on top of that, full time baby!! Nothing like a great start to my first Michigan wedding season & I couldn’t have been more excited.
Lauren reached out to me about two weeks before her big day letting me know her original wedding photographer may not be able to attend & wanted a just incaser. I said heck yes, sign me up! I had just purchased my plane ticket back to Michigan (I was down in Florida) & I would be back just in time. Totally crazy how things have a way of always working out. A couple of days later she emailed me & let me know they needed me for their day. Given the unfortunate circumstances, I was so excited! It was insane how it all just came together.
Lauren & Chris met at Golden State Baptist College in California where they both attended College. Chris was also a security guard on campus & that is how they met. During the ceremony a surprise call came from a super influential man in both of their lives from Golden State Baptist College, it was a beautiful moment to witness. 2 years have passed & these two were so ready to start their forever together. Lauren is actually from Michigan & her church, Prairie Baptist Church, was actually looking for a pastor which brought Chris officially to Michigan. That is also where they got married. If that does not scream meant to be I do not know what does. God is the center of their relationship & it is so beautiful to see. Chris loves Lauren’s smile & how she loves him through those tough moments. Lauren love’s Chris’s eye’s & how he never fails to make her feel special. They never fail to love each other through everything & they see each other as their better half. You know they are perfect for each other when they both love watching Boy Meets World together, I mean what is better than that?! Even though COVID had affected their day they rose above & joined together in marriage in front of God, family & friends. It was a beautiful day to be apart of. Welcome to the Ali K Photo Fam Lauren & Chris, so happy & lucky to know you both.
This is just the beginning of an amazing wedding season so back off COVID love can’t be put on hold.
