The One Where The Field's Get Married |06.19.20|
Hi!!
Talk about an insanely beautiful Michigan wedding. Kate & Wesley got married despite COVID’s “fun” obstacles. From their venue to their floral’s, every detail was beautiful & well thought out. If it is within your wedding day budget, I highly recommend splurging on real floral arrangements, the more greenery the better. It truly adds such an amazing touch, you can tell the difference. Florists are insanely talented, I have so much respect for all they create.
We started out at their beautiful venue Port 393, it was recently built & opened here in Holland, MI. They were the second wedding to ever be held there. All of the 2020 couples who get married there are signing a brick & I think it is the sweetest thing ever. Their bridal suite is to die for. That is where we captured Kate getting ready with her girl’s. They were all there, snacking & just having fun getting ready for the day. From there we traveled to a nearby wooded area to capture Kate & Wes’ first look as well as their bridal party photos. Their first look was so sweet & full of tears. Kate is friggin drop dead gorgeous, so how could he not cry?! They are seriously just the sweetest couple. They are so supportive of each other’s goals, they strive for sucess in everything, Christ is at the center of their relationship it is easy to see & they love to road trip together. I am lucky to know them & have photographed their story.
Next, it was time to head back to their venue so they could do the dang thing & get married. Despite it being 90 degrees out, their ceremony was so beautiful. The ceremony was one moment they were both really looking forward to the most, just saying “I Do” & finally kissing as husband & wife. I tend to tear up always during the ceremony. It’s just so sweet watching two people commit themselves to each other. After they were officially Mr + Mrs Field we went downstairs & celebrated. With toasts, yummy BBQ , followed by first dances on the roof at golden hour. They were beautiful. The lighting was incredible up there, so we stayed up there for an extra 15 minutes to snatch a few golden hour moments; away from the guests. After that they went & partied the night away with their friend & family.

I know this blog post is so so long (as it seems like most of mine are these days), but their day was just too good not to share all of the details. I have the best job in the world hands down. Kate & Wesley congratulations on your marriage & welcome to the Ali K Photo Fam. It is so good to have you two here. I cannot wait to see how you two grow together, you two are going to build such an amazing life. Being a Michigan wedding photographer is amazing, 10/10 would recommend.
