Taylor + Corbin

This past summer I captured the cutest engagement session, in a beautiful wooded area located in Grand Rapids, MI. I felt so bad because I actually had to reschedule their engagement session, I had just broke my knee a day or so before their session, in the silliest way ever too. That is a story for another time though. Thank goodness we only had to push it out a week & honestly they made hobbling through the woods on a broken knee worth it, haha. I really did not miss a beat after breaking my knee I took 4 days off & resumed as normal.

I can’t believe I will be capturing their big day in just a few short months. Their love is so thoughtful & intentional. They are high school sweethearts & have chosen to continue to grow with each other through every phase of life, how cool is that to have had your person by your side through it all. The way they balance each other out so well is incredible. Corbin is more soft spoken while Taylor more outspoken & sassy. They are two of the sweetest people. Their session was incredible & it just made me that much more excited for their big day this April.

This location is one of my top two favorite wooded locations to shoot at in West Michigan! The woods have become one of my favorite backdrops, it is just so different from Tucson. I love the way the sun peeks through the trees during golden hour. In order to capture it well though you will have to find the perfect spot at the perfect time to get the perfect peek through in the trees. Just wait until you see it in these photos.
